Disney World and Universal Studios Instagrammed

For my first trip of 2014, I headed down to Florida for a week with my mom and brother.  Disney World has been a re-occurring family vacation growing up and despite yours truly getting very ill the first day and continuing to be sick the entire trip, it was fun to be in the happiest place on earth again.  I also finally started using Instagram recently and have to say that I am officially addicted.  These are some of my favorite instagrams from our trip:

My first time visiting Disney World during Christmas when all the decorations were still up.  This was in the lobby of our hotel.

Universal Studios.

Honeyduke’s at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Hogwarts, the Sorting Hat, and Honeyduke’s.  No other words needed.

Magic Kingdom Fireworks.

One of the classics.  Tower of Terror will always be one of my favorite rides ever.

This icicle lights made taking photographs a bitch, but they were pretty to look at.  The castle changed colors continuously and I, of course, had to get a picture of my favorite color.

These turkeys were frequently outside our room.  We may, or may not, have fed them.

Sunset crossing on the ferry from the hotel to Magic Kingdom.

Ever been to Disney World or Universal Studios?

We did! Actually, I did. Who knew turkeys would love pistachios?

Nope, never been to Disney Land or World or whatver…Never really wanted to for some reason. That said, the icicle castle is awesome. Also, I definitely do want to go to Harry Potter World! I’m such a potter geek 🙂 🙂

Harry Potter world is amazing. This was my second time and I’m glad it wasn’t my first because I was so beyond miserable that day between being really sick and the pouring rain.

I’ve been when I was younger, but not since Harry Potter world has opened. I really want to go now! I think I still have some days left on our 7 day pass that we bought. Hmmm

First of all, I am sorry that you took a trip to Disney World and for the most part your were sick – that is just awful timing!

However, it looks like you were still able to enjoy this and take some amazing shots! I really like how you put together a post using just Instagram pictures, will definitely look into doing something similar on our travels!

Great job with this post, really enjoyed it!

I wish I had two full days there! I’m just glad this wasn’t my first time there…between being sick and the pouring rain, I would have been pissed.

Man, I’m jealous! Somehow I have avoided Disney World and similar theme parks throughout all my childhood (my parent’s weren’t big fans) but it still remains on my bucket list. Awesome pics and I hope you’re feeling better now!

Love the photo of the castle with the icicles! I went to Disneyland last year in January and It’s a Small World was still decked out in Christmas lights. It was fun seeing the ride all gussied up from what it traditionally looks like!

Thanks Brittany! This was my first time going with all the Christmas lights up and it really is beautiful!
