Trevi Fountain

The Trevi Fountain, designed by Nicola Salvi, is in the Trevi district of Rome, Italy. A legend says that if you throw a coin with your right hand over your left shoulder, you are ensured to return to Rome one day.

The biggest disappointment of our trip to Rome last month was discovering that the Trevi Fountain was completely closed for renovations. It looked terrible with all the scaffolding around it. And they had closed it only 2 weeks before we arrived! 🙁
