Things to do in Nashville this Month : March 2015

THINGS TO DO IN NASHVILLE | MARCH 2015

March 14th – Music City Irish Fest

Music City Irish Fest is the biggest Irish Festival this side of the Mason-Dixon Line – even the Tourism Ireland board will be there to answer all your questions about traveling to Ireland (this may or may not be where you’ll find me)!  There will be many well-known Irish and Scottish performers and artists at the event.

Time : 11am-11pm

Location: 1538 Demonbreun Street, Nashville

March 14th – Franklin Brewfest

The Franklin Brew Fest is very similar to Music City Irish Fest (and on the same day) but is located in Historic Downtown Franklin (about 20 miles south of Nashville).  We went last year and absolutely loved it and will be going back.  It’s free to go to the event but costs to be able to taste the brews ($45/person for unlimited tastings).  It includes over 20 breweries with over 50 brews total to taste.  There will also be Irish performers and food as well!

Time : 6-9pm

Location : Main Street, Downtown Franklin

March 21st & 22nd – Cheekwood in Bloom Kicks Off

THINGS TO DO IN NASHVILLE | CHEEKWOOD IN BLOOM

Cheekwood is privately funded estate in West Nashville that houses the Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art.  Every spring, it becomes the premier spot of the South to celebrate the new season.  This weekend in March is the kickoff for Cheekwood in Bloom and every weekend there will be activities, entertainment and much more to enjoy!

Time : 9am-5pm

Location : 1200 Forrest Park Drive, Nashville

March 27th-29th – Nashville Flea Market

THINGS TO DO IN NASHVILLE | NASHVILLE FLEA MARKET

The Nashville Flea Market is one of the best flea markets in the country.  I’ve told people traveling here to check it out if it falls on the weekend they are coming (4th weekend of every month; 3rd weekend in December).  It’s huge and you can find just about everything from expensive antiques to a pack of gum.  Check out my write-up on the market over at Souvenir Finder.

Time : Fridays 8am-5pm; Saturdays 7am-6pm; Sundays 7am-4pm

Location : Tennessee State Fairgrounds

What a great list, the blooms festival at the end of the month has me WAITING for Spring, and I would love to go to a tasting brewfest!

I love that you focus on Nashville and recognize that true travel adventuring doesn’t have to mean going to the other side of the world, all it takes is the willingness to checkout local events!

I just found your blog through the #weekendwanderlust linkup, feel free to come by and pay me a visit! I’ve just posted about one of italy’s most daring Murano Glass artisans.
