I really enjoyed my time in County Cork and Cork City – it ended up being one of my favorite places in Ireland! That’s no easy task considering Ireland’s magical qualities. As with most places, there wasn’t near enough time to cover everything but I did my best. There are a few vegan restaurants in Cork and several more vegetarian restaurants.

Restaurants in Cork

143V

143V is the only all-vegan restaurant I visited while in Cork. That’s because it was the only one. I was so pleased with this adorable little spot. The restaurant is super tiny but I think that almost made it better. The girl working was one of the nicest people I met in Ireland (that’s also saying a lot as most people are super friendly) and she chatted with us for a long time despite having to do all the work herself.

I had a breakfast sandwich and fresh apple juice and Lauren had the pancakes. They were both beautifully presented and, more importantly, absolutely delicious.

Quay Co-Op

Quay Co-Op is located in the center of town and is an all-vegetarian restaurant. Sitting right on the River Lee, Quay Co-Op is a great place to meet up for a meal with friends. They have an extensive menu with a large percentage being vegan.

I just got a simple soup, bread, and potatoes but it really hit the spot! I saved the cupcake for later and it was absolutely delicious – the pomegranate seeds were perfect on top!

My Goodness

My Goodness is a stall inside the English Market. I actually didn’t even know they were there until we went to go check out the market. Most of their items are raw, gluten-free and sugar-free as well. Everything is vegan!

English Market

While I’ve mentioned a few places in the market, there were definitely several other places that had some vegan options and many more produce stands.

Fair warning – you will have to pass by traditional butcher stands.

Local Vegan Resources

There are a few very helpful resources for eating vegan in Cork.

What to Pack for Cork

Raincoat (yep, it’s not just something people say – it can rain at any moment!)
Travel Umbrella (while I didn’t bring an umbrella and was too stubborn to buy one, I’d recommend it)
Pacsafe Cross Body Purse (I love my Pacsafe products and would highly recommend using them when traveling)
Comfortable Shoes (my feet tend to hurt pretty easily and these are the best shoes I’ve had in a while for walking a lot)

Each spot looks delightful Ashley 😉 Stunned at how many veggie and vegan options we see around the world. Amazing. Good to see too, as meat heavy diets tend to cause so many problems, health-wise and environment-wise. Thanks for sharing 🙂
